The origins of this castle go back to the eighteenth century but it is only since its acquisition in 1952 by new owners that this castle has gained notoriety since it was classified as a Bourgeois cru in 1932, promoted to the rank of exceptional in the 2003 classification and finally offered. in 2009 classified as a potential 4th classified growth. The terroir is carried by a croup of gravel on a clay-limestone subsoil, a character and a pledge of exceptional qualities. The vineyard covers approximately 65 ha in the town of St Estèphe, the castle thus benefiting from this prestigious appellation. It is a wine of high Médoc Classé St Estèphe. The grape variety is made up of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The harvest is exclusively manual and the wine is aged in new barrels. It is a wine to be consumed at room temperature after optimal aging in the cellar, verified year after year.
